Research

My primary area of research is the quantitative study of international relations, with a focus on international conflict.  My dissertation focuses on conflict outcomes, exploring the relationship between the choice of aerial military strategies and conflict outcomes.  I have also done some work on deterrence and terrorism and foreign policy substitutability.  In my minor field of comparative politics I have done some work on Mexico and its drug war, which I presented at the Midwest Political Science Association Annual Conference in 2011.
